On the Mongolian Regulations and Agreements Relevant to the Tribute and Trade between the Tümed and Ordos Mongols and Ming Court

Abstract
The Altan- qan and his successors after him who were granted the title of shun- yi- wang( Obedient and Righteous Prince) promulgated four times Regulations and Agreements related to tribute and trade in order to maintain the tribute and trade relations between the Tumed and Ordos Mongols and Ming Dynasty after An Da Feng Gong( Altan- qan's being granted the title of prince and presenting tribute to the Ming Court) accomplished in 1571. The Regulations concerning various aspects of the tribute and trade played a positive role in maintaining the tribute and trade relations,and had great influence on the Mongolian customary laws and regulations afterwards.
