Eeffect of Tongxinluo Capsule on Blood Lipid in Patients with Coronary Disease

Objective To observe the effects of Tongxinluo Capsule on blood lipid in patients with coronary disease and hyper-lipoproteinemia . Methods Sixty patients with coronary disease and hyperlipoproteinemia were divided into trial group (n=30) and control group(n= 30) randomly, basal treatment were given to both group. The trial group was treated with Tongxinluo Capsule 4 capsules 3 times a day. Changes of blood lipid and clinical symptom were observed after treatment for 4 weeks. Results Compared with the control group, after patients had been treated with Tongxinluo Capsule for 4 weeks, sinificant improvement was shown in lipid abnormality.The levels of total cholesterol,riglyceride,low density lipoprotein cholesterol,apo- lipoprotein B (ApoB), lipoprotein(a),lowered and ApoA/ApoB ratio increased observiously. The effect of both remedies in elevating HDL - C was similar. Conclusion Tongxinluo Capsule had definite regulatory effect on the blood lipids and lipoproteins in patients with coronary disease and hyperlipoproteinemia
