Is Zhu Ziqing Not a Great Prose Writer?——Discussing Yardstick of Literary Criticism with Yu Guangzhong

Abstract

It is not agreed to Yu Guangzhong's criticism suggestion that Zhu Ziqing's prose of the seventies belongs to last century in the paper. The paper claims that Yu Guangzhong didn't think Zhu Ziqing was a great prose writer, due to his lack of justice historical view. It is a one-sided query to writer's personality. At the same time, I probes into Yu Guangzhong's own prose creation further, and points out that critics should hold a certain yardstick, when they comment on writers.
