Abstract
The factors affecting the design parameters of draft gears are described,including the vehicle structure and vehicle strength,the train operation conditions and marshalling shunting conditions.The target values of design parameters of draft gears for heavy haul freight cars in our country are determined.And the scheme design of draft gears for new type heavy haul freight trains is expounded.
