On multimedia teaching of college English

Abstract
A new college English teaching reform is underway in China. With the ever-accelerated updating of computer and information technology, long-distance online learning and multimedia courseware will be the fire-new methods for English teaching. In English teaching, using the multimedia properly will facilitate the reform of the teaching contents, methodology, means and modes. Consequently, it will lead to transformation of the English teaching notion. And therefore, it can serve the purpose of enhancing college English teaching. This paper illustrates the advantages and some noticeable problems.
