On the Causes of the Decline of Mohist School's Doctrine

In the period of contention of a hundred schools of thought,Confucianism stood up to Mohist School's doctrine as an equal and called Prominent Subject.But after the Qin and Han Dynasties,Mohist School's doctrine as ideology and theory gradually disappeared and submerged.The major cause of its decline becomes a focus of attention to the researchers on Mohist School's doctrine.This article tries to apply Mr.Yu Yingshi's inner logical research methods to seek the major cause from the Mohist internal thought and concludes that the sudden decline of Mohist School's doctrine mainly due to lacking of surmounting breakthrough and the consciousness of problems.
