Effect of cervical cerclage on pregnant women with cervical insufficiency

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of cervical cerclage on pregnant women with cervical insufficiency.Methods The pregnant women who were identified with cervical insufficiency before pregnant,they were treated by cervical cerclage between 12and18 weeks of gestation.Results In 52 pregnant women with cervical insufficiency who were treated by cervical cerclage,37-38 weeks of gestation were 9 women(9/52,17.3%),38-40 weeks of gestation were 38 women(38/52,73%),above 40 weeks were 5 women(5/52,9.7%),all infants were alive.Conclusion Cervical cerclage can prevent cervical insufficiency induced habitual abortion in pregnant women.
