Abstract
Objective To explore status of health literacy and analyze its influencing factors among permanent residents in Beijing.Methods Multistage stratified cluster random sampling method was used to recruit 2030 permanent residents 15-69 years old.A questionnaire was used to collect information about normal social-demographic characters,health literacy of and so on.Logistic regression was used for data analysis.Results The overall health literacy level of residents was 43.4%,and in male accounting for 45.0%,in female for 41.6%,respectively.Multivariate analysis showed that female(OR=1.2),education levels(OR=1.5) and income per month(OR=1.2) were protecting factors for health literacy in residents who had satisfied health literacy.Passing percentages were increased with education level and income per month.Conclusion Comprehensive interventions targeted at their different features and significant influencing factors should be carried out to improve health literacy among permanent residents in Beijing.
