Abstract
OLAP is a sophisticated data analysis technique that is developed based on a multidimensional data model and is the most typical application of data warehouse.This paper describes an OLAP system that is developed on the basis of a data warehouse for medical information analytical system.By selecting OLAP theme,designing multidimensional data model,applying multi-dimensional analysis,and conducting Multidimensional Expression(MDX) query,this OLAP system can perform multi-dimensional data analysis based on different medical information analytical demand.
