Social Roles of the Female in Kejujiazu(a family that has people passed in the Imperial Civil Examination)

Abstract
Based mainly on The Genealogy of the Mou Family in Yulin,Gnanxi Province,the authors have a holistic in- vestigation into the female of the Mou family of Gaoshan village in cases and quantitatively.It is argued that they have three major social roles in the devdopment of a Kejujiazu(a family that has people passed in the Imperial Civil Examina- tion):clan exchange in a culture of imperial civil examination,production of a male heir to carry on the family line and maintenance of the family and that roles of different groups of the female are various.New concepts of Kejujiazu(a family that has people passed in the Imperial Civil Examination)and Fekejujiazu(a family that do not have people passed in the Imperial Civil Examination)are first introduced in this paper.
