Abstract

A new type of heterocycle triazenediyl color group reagent BTNPT was synthesized. Its structure and acidity constants were studied spectrophotometrically. This reagent is used as photometric reagents for Hg\+\{2+\}.In a buffer solution Na\-2B\-4O\-7NaOH, the color agent BTNPT reacts with Hg(Ⅱ) ion to form sensitive color complexes in the presence of surface active agent TritonX 100. The method has high sensitivity. We have used these reagents to determine the Hg\+\{2+\} in waste water successfully.
