A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS ANIDIOCERUS FROM CHINA (HEMIPTERA, CICADELLIDAE, IDIOCERINAE)

In this paper, a new species of the genus Anidiocerus is described from China. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University.Anidiocerus fanjingensis sp. nov.(Figs.1-7)Body length (incl. teg): ♂ 6.4-6.6mm, ♀ 6.9-7.1mm. The head is wider than pronotum. Anterior and posterior margins of vertex are parallel and posterior margin of vertex with two triangular black spots; ocelli red-brown, eyes black-brow with 2 small round spots; face mostly pale yellow; lorum short. Pronotum and scutellum black; forewing pale brown with 2 subapical and 4 apical cells. Pygofer side and genital black. Legs yellowish, abdomen yellowish-brown. This new species is similar to Anidiocerus flavidus Cai et Shen, but can be distinguished from the latter by: 1) lorum and gena pale yellow; 2)the end of pygofer side with a spine-like process; 3)inner margin of the style with teeth-shaped processes.Holotype ♂, paratypes: 4 ♂♂, 3♀♀, Mt. Fanjing (27°51′N, 108° 46′E), Guizhou Province, 27 July 2001, coll. LI Zi-Zhong.
