Abstract

Objective To study the antitumor activity of methanolic extractive from Euphorbia Lathyris L. both in vitro and in vivo, and further evaluate its does-effect relationship. Methods In vitro and in vivo study on the pharmacological activity of methanolic extractive from Euphorbia Lathyris L. were performed by using MTT assay and mice transplant tumor model respectively. Results IC (50) numerical value of Hela cells、K (562) cells、U (937) cells、HL (60) cells and HepG 2 cells were (15.5)μg/ml、(13.1)μg/ml、(10.5)μg/ml、(17.5)μg/ml、(29.6)μg/ml in vitro respectively, in addition methanolic extractive from Euphorbia Lathyris L. demonstrated antitumor activity in vivo. Conclusion Methanolic extractive from Euphorbia lathyris L. has not only obvious inhibition effect on the human tumor cell strains such as Hela cells、U (937) cells in vitro, but also demonstrated antitumor effect on mice transplant tumors such as S (180)、EAC in vivo.
