Abstract
Objective To analyze the correlation of the expression of IGF-I and Ki-67 in breast cancer and make sure the role played in breast cancer cells' proliferation and malignancy degree. Methods There were 90 cases collected randomly, each group of breast cancer, breast fibroadenoma and breast hyperplasia tissue was 30 cases. The expression of IGF-I and Ki-67 in different breast tissue were detected by immumohistochemical technique S-P.Results The positive expression of IGF-I had no difference(P0.05) in breast cancer, breast fibroadenoma and breast hyperplasia tissue, however, the strong positive expression of IGF-I in breast cancer was significantly higher than the other two groups(P0.05).There was positive correlation between IGF-I and Ki-67 in breast. The positive expression of IGF-I and Ki-67 had no correlation(P0.05) with different ages, hormone receptors and histological types. However, the difference was related with the sizes of the primary tumor, lymph node metastasis group and different stages of TMN(P0.05).Conclusion The over expression of IGF-I could facilitate the proliferation of tumor cell and it may be one of the factors to result in the initiation and development of breast cancer. The co-test of IGF-I and Ki-67 is a very useful indicator to judge the breast cancer cell's proliferation and malignancy degree.
