Effect of Compatibility of Two Parts from Tougu Xiaotong Capsule on Inflammatory Factors Expression in Rats with Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective To explore the effect of compatibility of two parts from Tougu Xiaotong capsule(TGXTC) on the inflammatory factors expression in rats with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods 90 clean SD rats were randomly divided into normal group,model group and experiment group I-Ⅶ.KOA rat models were established by intra-articular injection of papain solution.The normal group and model group were treated with physiological saline,and experiment groups were treated with saponins and alkaloids in different ratios for 4 weeks,then the levels of IL-1,IL-6,TNF-α,MMP-3,HA and NO in synovia fluid were detected by radioimmunity assay.Results The compatibility of saponins and alkaloids in different ratio from TGXTC could down-regulate the levels of IL-1,IL-6,TNF-α,MMP-3 and NO,and up-regulate the level of HA in synovia fluid of KOA patients.Conclusion The compatibility of saponins and alkaloids in different ratio from TGXTC could effectively inhibit the inflammation of KOA.Among the ratios,the ratio of saponins and alkaloids with better effect is ten to six.
