Comparative Study of Treatment Depression Between Fluvoxamine and Clomipramine

Objective:Clinical efficacy and adverse reaction evaluation of fluvoxamine in treatment depression.Method:50 patients met the criterion of CCMD-3 for depression were assigned randomly to study group or control group treatment for 56 days.The efficacy was assessed by Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) and the adverse effects were assessed by Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale(TESS).Laboratory tests included blood cell analysis,urinalysis,blood biochemical analysis and electrocardiogram.Result:The two groups clinical efficacy is similar treated 8 weeks,adverse reaction of fluvoxamine group less than clomipramine.Conclusion: Fluvoxamine is rather effective and lesser adverse reaction in treatment of depression.
