Abstract

Molecular sieves catalysts,as a novel chemical material, has developed rapidly and applied extensively.Ethyl butyrate,an important flavor and chemical, was catalytic synthesized with synthetic zeolite treated with sulfate acid. The reaction conditions were discussed and the results showed that the proper conditions were below:catalyst content 2.0 g,n(butyric acid):n(ethanol)=1:1.5,hexamethylene content 10 mL,at 75℃~80℃ for 3 h.The conversion of butyric acid was over 80%.The catalyst can be recycled.
