Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To detect BAG-1,p73,p16 expressions in breast cancer by tissue microarray and evaluate their clinical significance. METHODS: Tissue microarray of breast cancer, atypoical hyperplasia and normal tissues were analyzed by DAKO Envision system immunohistochemical staining for BAG-1, p73 and p16 expressions. RESULTS: BAG-1, p73 and p16 were expressed in nucleus and cytoplasm in cancer tissue, they were mainly existed in cytoplasm in normal epithelium. With the change procedure from the normal cell to dysplasia to cancer tissue, the degrees of BAG-1 and p73 increased gradually, while the degree of p16 decreased. There were significant differences of positive rates of BAG-1, p73 and p16 between the cancer tissue and the normal,P0.01. but there were no significant differences of positive rates of BAG-1, p73 and p16 between the gradeⅠand gradeⅡ,Ⅲcancer tissues, P0.05. CONCLUSION: There are overexpressions of BAG-1, p73 and p16 in breast cancer. It suggests that BAG-1, p73 and p16 may be related to breast cancer.
