The Termination and Retroversion of Grammaticalization of Qu(去) in the Process of Becoming a Locative Preposition

Qu(去) as a verb that means leave had been grammaticalized into locative preposition in Tang(唐) and Song(宋) dynasty. But this usage was terminated in Ming(明) dynasty,and Qu(去) regressed into a verb. The reason of grammaticalization was overflowing and innovation of the semantic feature,and the reason why the grammaticalization was ceased was determined both by intrinsic factors(meanings of Qu(去)) and exterior factors(the system of preposition). It indicates that the grammaticalization of verbs may not comply the rules of the cline of grammaticalization,but is probably terminated in the period of grammatical word.
