The origin of the state: one way or two ways

The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State is a classical work on the origin of the state, but it only talks about one origin of the state, namely the state that developed after the clan system had died out. With the case of China as an example, this article summarizes various viewpoints on the origin of the state and claims that there is another origin of the state, namely the state that developed when the clan and the community continued to exist.
