Abstract

The paper studied various factors that impact on depredating the phenol in water by UV/Fenton oxidation process,and ensured the process conditions.Keeping the basic reaction conditions of the UV/Fenton system constant,which is to investigate these factors influenced on the effect of phenol wastewater treatment,through controlling the dosage of H2O2,Fe2+ mass concentration,pH,aeration,ect.The UV/Fenton oxidation process has a better degradation effect and a higher reaction rate than the traditional methods.At original pH value of 3.0 of the wastewater,the removal rate of phenol and COD will reach 99% and 86% through 30min reaction respectively.But the removal rate of the COD of phenol wastewater is worse than the phenol.The UV/Fenton process is capable of removing the phenol and COD of wastewater in a short time.The dosage of H2O2 and Fe2+ mass concentration have a lager influence on the treatment.The degradation rate of phenol and COD are determined by the dosage of H2O2,while the Fe2+ mass concentration is the dominant factor.
