Abstract

In accordance with the need of the times and the development of revolutionary situation,QU Qiubai had made a class analysis to the chivalrous culture.He pointed out the negative influence and harm of chivalrous novels on the lower class people,criticized the chivalrous mentality,yet approved of their accomplishment in artistic form.When considered under contemporary historical context,QU Qiubai's critical discourse of chivalrous culture is historically reasonable and positively meaningful,yet unavoidably limited to some extent.
