Abstract

The change of water environment had close relationship with the rising of cities and towns.And at the same time,it gave influence to the economic development of the cities in the Zhujiang River Delta in the Ming and the Qing Dynasties.Because of the needs of politics,economy and culture in the local place, people cultivated and affected the landscape of the cities and the towns.They managed and reformed the water environment actively and the course of this activity is the course of social change.
