Abstract
A literature review and main progress on behaviour and design method of restrained steel column in fire is presented.The main focuses of the literature review are global framed structural analysis in fire,fire tests and parametric studies on restrained steel column,buckling length of restrained steel column under fire condition,advanced and simplified fire-resistance design method for restrained steel column,and so on.The key problems on fire resistance design of restrained steel column needed further research are pointed out.
