Abstract
Objectives:To analyze the chemical constituents of the volatile oils of Rhododendron primulaeflorum Bur.et Franch.and provide a scientific evidence for the deep exploration and usage of it.Methods:The volatile oils of Rhododendron primulaeflorum Bur.et Franch.were extracted by water steam distillation and its chemical constituents were separated and identified by GC-MS.The content of each constituent was determined by area normalizetion method. Results:Sixty five peaks were separated and fifty nine components were identified, which constituted about 97.50% of the total volatile oils. Conclusions:The main compounds are β-pipene(13.81%),α-pipene(12.86%),limonene(8.18%),β-caryoph-yllene(7.55%),myrcene(6.36%),naphthalene(4.63%),(+)-ledol(4.44%),γ-terpipene (4.23%),(+)-aromadendr-ene(3.94%) and α-terpineol(2.74%).
