Effective comparison between ropivacaine and bupivacaine in lumbar anesthesia for cesarean section

Objective: The analgesia effects,side reaction and the influence on motor nerves were compared between same concentration and same volume of Ropivacaine and Bupivacaine in lumbar anesthesia for caesarean section.Methods: 60 cases of patients(ASA 1～2) scheduled for elective cesarean section were randomly into two groups: R group(n=30) and B group (n=30) were given Ropivacaine and Bupivacaine respectively.In all patients spinal space L3-4 or L2-3 was punctured.Group R was given 0.5% heavy specific gravity Ropivacaine 2.0ml,and 0.5% heavy specific gravity Bupivacaine 2.0ml for Group B.The effects of block,side reaction and motor nerve block were observed 15 minutes later.The data were statisticed by t teat.Conclusion: Spinal administration of 0.5% heavy specific gravity Ropivacaine 2.0ml is not consummate block compared with Bupivacain in the same density and same volume.
