Abstract
Objective To explore the value of multi-slice spiral CT urography(MSCTU) in diagnosis of urinary tract diseases. Methods One hundred and eighty-three patients with urinary tract diseases who presented complete clinical data over the past 3 years were reviewed. All patients had undergone plain and contrast enhanced MSCTU.The imaging data in plain scan, arterial phase, parenchymal phase, excretory phase and lag period were collected and transmitted to a workstation where maximun intensity projection(MIP),multiplanar reconstruction(MPR) and curved planar reconstruction(CPR) were performed so as to obtain integrated imaging of the urinary tract. The imaging features were then retrospectively analyzed. Results Of 183 cases, there were 122 cases of pelvic and ureteral calculi,3 of bladder stone,5 of pelvic and ureteral duplication,1 of horseshoe kidney,2 of megaureter,7 of renal pelvic carcinomas,5 of ureteral cancer,21 of bladder cancer with involvement of ureteral orifice,13 of inflammatory stricture of ureter,2 of uretero-uterine fistulae,1 of fistula of pelvis-abdominal cavity and 1 of compressive trauma. Conclusion MSCTU shows obvious advantages and clinical value in diagnosis of urinary tract disorders.
