Abstract
A total of 32 maize varieties were employed for SSR analysis,by using 83 SSR primers distributed over whole maize genome. The results indicated that 47 SSR primers performed polymorphism and 475 alleles loci were detected. The average number of alleles per SSR primer was 10.1,ranging from 3 to 24.Genetic similarities among the 32 varieties ranged from 0.487 to 0.752 with an average of 0.626.Clustering analysis with UPGMA method based on genetic similarity coefficients showed that 30 landraces could be classified into 4 clusters, while with genetic similarity coefficient of 0.63.The results were consistent with the groups based on the geographical origins and the phenotypes.
