Research on a design method of asphalt overlay on the used cement concrete pavement

Asphalt overlay is one of the effective methods,which can rebuild the used cement concrete pavement.The calculating method was given based on theory analysis.The design standard was presented using the following parameters based on the damage phenomenon: the flexural-tensile stress,the difference of cement concrete pavement joint and the shear stress of asphalt pavement on joint.Meanwhile two pavement structure types were presented,which were treated with subbase layer in order to consolidate the pavement and were graded with crushed stone layer in order to delay the reflective crack.Finally,the using qualification,design parameters and calculating method were given.
