It's the key point to accurally comprehand the social formation theory of Marx so as to clarify the relevant category of social formation. The universal law of social development is not the gradual progress of the so - called five - social formations in their given order, but the revolution of the three social formations in order of precedence, that is, primitive society, class society and communist society. And in accordance with the universal law, different regions and countries have distinct ways in their development. The paper points out that the world theory of Marx is not a universal one,but the world' s history after the emergence of the production of big industry.
