Abstract
To correctly understand and restore Marx′s thought of the basic social structure and to advance research of theories of social history,to reconstruct his theory of basic social structure by accessing from Preface and using the method of text analysis.A reconstruction of the theory can lead us through the metamorphic process of abstracting the basic social structure from realistic social history and practice to make it a universal logic and inevitability that are detached from social history and lying above social practice. The basic social structure thereby abstracted can then be reconceptualized as the internal mechanism governing human practice and social movement closely related to existent socio-historical conditions.
