Comprehensive Evaluation of Regional Economic Development in Shandong Based on Principle Component Analysis

Using principle component analysis to 10 indicators from 17 regions in Shandong province,the paper ranks of the principal component and the composite component in SPSS19.0 statistical analysis software.The results showed that Shandong regional economic development is unbalanced and the development level is divided into five levels.The differences are mainly due to natural environment,geographical location,historical conditions,cultural environment and many other factors.Therefore,the government should attach great importance to differences of economic development,increase investment and promote the harmonious development of the economy combined with features and advantages of each region in Shandong.
