Abstract
Thirty-five rhizosphere strains with inhibitory activity to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 4 were screened by pairing culture on PSA from 130 strains which isolated from the healthy banana rhizosphere soil. Among which 16 strains showed good antagonistic effects with 6—11mm inhibition zone diameter and>2.0 antagonistic coefficient, 7 of 16 strains showed steady antagonistic effects. The results showed that the culture solution of antagonistic strains FBS, FB2, T2WF, T2WC and W10, watered into injured banana roots, could give more than 81%control efficiency on the 50th day after inoculating the pathogen. Furthermore, the culture solution of antagonistic strains FB5, T2WF, T2WC and W10 could enhance the growth of banana seedlings.
