Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effects of improved methods of Chinese medicine retention enema therapy whether it is more effective than the traditional method of Chinese medicine retention enema in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.Methods:156 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were randomly divided into 2 groups, treatment group which received the improved method herbal enema and control group which received the traditional method of Chinese medicine retention enema. The differences of effective rate, recovery rate and liquid retention time were observed in the two groups. Results:The cure rate was 55.00% and the total effective rate was 96% in the treatment group, while the cure rate was only 21.05% and the total effective rate was 73.64% in the control group.Liquid retaining time of the improved method is longer than the traditional method group in the intestines. There was a significant difference between 2 groups(P 0.05).Conclusion:The improved method of Chinese medicine retention enema was more effective than the traditional method of Chinese medicine retention enema for chronic pelvic inflammation.
