Abstract
To study the ship's maneuvering motion better under the effect of ship-ship interaction, this paper adopted the idea of MMG modeling and a group of general formulas of force and moment for ship-ship interaction were used.Based on above, the ship control operated by rudder was studied under the effect of ship-ship interaction combining with the PD heading control and the underactuated track control algorithms, and simulation was carried out by using Matlab. Results show that the effect of ship-ship interaction on ship's maneuvering motion can be controlled by rudder under certain conditions.
