Abstract

Objective To investigate the significance of serum cystatin C(Cys-C) in the detection of diabetic renal function. Methods The subjects were divided into 45 cases of normal and 45 cases of type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Cys-C was detected by latex particle scattering turbidimetric method of β2-MG was determined by immune turbidimetry, serum creatinine(Scr) and creatinine enzymatic determination of blood urea nitrogen(BUN) were detected by urinary enzymes-glutamate dehydrogenase determination. The test items determined by the AU-2700 automatic biochemical analyzer. Results Diabetic nephropathy group of Cys-C and β2-MG,Scr and Bun were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusions Cys-C is an ideal indicator of early diagnosis and treatment of diabetic nephropathy, early detection of disease can improve patient outcomes and improve quality of life,it has important clinical significance.
