Abstract
SCSI is a protocol for communicating with I/O devices, especially storage devices. The iSCSI protocol is a transport protocol for SCSI that operates on top of TCP/IP. The basic function of iSCSI is to encapsulate the SCSI commands into an IP packet, transmit it to remote storage devices, and receive results via the network. This paper introduces the implementation of iSCSI under Linux and Windows 2000,discusses the access of multiusers and the management methods of iSCSI, and finally analyses the performance of the implemented iSCSI.
