ANALYSIS OF DYNAMIC EVOLVEMENT CHARACTERISTIC OF TECHNOLOGY POPULATION GRAVITY CENTER IN CHINA FROM 1982 TO 2003

Technology population gravity center is calculated with region gravity center model from 1982 to2003 in china. Results indicate that the technology population gravity center moves to east from 1982 to 1989, then to southwest after 1989 against the gravity of geometry center of China all the while. Compared with gravity center of the different industry production value at the same time, the movement of the technology population gravity center is accordant with the movement of the industry production value gravity center, but independent of the movement of agriculture production value gravity center and the third industry production gravity center. The above shows that industry development level is the main attraction to technology population. Technology population mainly contributes to industry production value. The development of agriculture and the third industry is weak to attract technology population.
