Expression of MMP-14 and CD_(44)v6 in colorectal carcinoma

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of MMP-14 and CD44v6 with clinicopathologic features of colorectal carcinoma.Methods The expression of MMP-14 and CD44v6 in 68 cases of colorectal carcinoma was detected by using SP immunohistochemical technique.Results The difference of MMP-14 and CD44v6 expression between colorectal carcinoma and normal colorectal tissues had statistical significance(P0.05).The positive expression of MMP-14 and CD44v6 was correlated with Duke's stage(P0.05),was no relationship with pathological types and sex.Conclusions The expression of MMP-14 and CD44v6 had a close relationship with the invasion of colorectal carcinoma.Examination of expression of these two proteins may be helpful to judge biological behavior and prognosis of colorectal carcinoma.
