Abstract
Objective To analyze the correlations of refractive power and wavefront aberrations in anisomyopes by WaveScan WaveFront~(TM) System. Methods Sixty anisomyopic patients ( male 22, female 38) , aged 8 to 40 years old(mean 21.2 ± 7.4) , in vision science and optometry center of Guangxi from August 2009 to February 2010, were enrolled in this study and wavefront aberrations in each eyes were captured for analyzation. And more myopic eyes with spherical equivalent ( - 4.81 ± 1.79 ) DS, less myopic eyes with spherical equivalent ( - 2.44 ± 1.78) DS.The outcomes included high order aberrations, coma, trefoil and spherical aberration.Pearson correlations between spherical equivalent and high order aberrations, coma, trefoil and spherical aberration were analyzed by SPSS13.0, respectively. Results High order aberrations in more myopic eyes and less myopic eyes were (0.37 ± 0.15)μm and (0.37 ±0.14) μm, respectively.Coma were (0.21 ±0.14) μm and (0.19 ±0.11) μm, respectively. Trefoil were (0.16 ±0.10)μm and (0.17 ±0.12)μm, respectively.Spherical aberration were (0.11 ±0.14) μm and (0.12 ±0.17) μm, respectively.Pearson correlations showed that there were low correlations between spherical equivalent and high order aberrations in more myopic eyes ( r = - 0.275 , P 0.033 ) , but there were no correlation among other indexes ( P 0.05 ).Conclusion Low correlations existed between spherical equivalent and high order aberraions in more myopic eyes of anisomyopia.
