Abstract
The area,distribution regions and types of desertification in China,and the damage of land desertification were expounded.The prevention of desertification in China was discussed.It was suggested that natural vegetation recovery and reconstruction should follow the ecology principle to promote economic and social development and to perfect the system at the same time,and then vigorously develop innovative preventing strategy of desertification.
