Characteristics and problems of current fishery development in China

Author has summarized six characteristics about the current fishery development in China. The six characteristics are new increase of fishermen's income,new development of fishery economy,new progress of establishment of quality safety system for aquatic products,new effect of constitution of fishery legislation and resources and environmental protection,new space of fishery development,new achievement of construction of fishery infrastructure and supporting system.Based on the summary ofsix new characteristics,author has pointed out six major problems,protection of fishermen's rights and interests,quality safety of aquatic products,scientific support for transition of fishery growth manner, resources and environment for fishery sustainable development,ability to resist disasters and emergency events,international competitive power of deep sea fishery.Furthermore,author has proposed six policy suggestions,to enhance fishery policy support and protection of fishermen's rights and interests,to strengthen management of quality safety for aquatic products,to promote the transition of fishery growth manner,to push forward the resource economized and the environment-friendly fisheries,to enhance the guarantee on fishery safety,to increase the export benefits of aquatic products and the international competitive power of deep sea fishery.
