Abstract
In this paper,fumed silica was surface treated by different silane coupling agents.The change of surface status of fumed silica before and after treatment was characterized by FT-IR.The influence of amount of HMDS,treatment time and treatment temperature on surface treatment was analyzed by orthogonal test.The result showed that fumed silica,treated at 110 ℃ for 3 h with 18% HMDS,could highly improve the processing property and mechanics property of RTV-2 silicone rubber.Otherwise,the processing property could be improved by adding HMDS to silicone rubber directly.
