Abstract

The degree of the surface preparation of fumed silica can be judged by the C content when fumed silica is prepared by HMDZ.The effect of the ratio of fumed silica to HMDZ and the effects of reaction temperature and different solvents on the properties of hydrophobic fumed silica were discussed.The method of judgement of the surface preparation can also be proved by the properties of the RTV silicone rubber.
