An Analytical Comparison of Religion-Poetry Interaction between Chinese and English Poetry

Abstract

Religion and poetry are interrelated and interact on each other. What is discussed in this article is the similarity as well as the difference of Chinese and English poetry in the relationship of religion and poetry in a historical perspective: on one hand, both poetry blazons abroad religion, and religion enriches the content of poetry; on the other hand, religious influence makes English poetry differ from Chinese poetry in function and expression. 
