On CAI Yuan-pei's Views of Women Education and Their Contemporary Enlightenment

CAI Yuan-pei is the pioneer of modern female education in China. He advocated the equality between men and women, strived to cultivate sound personality of women, advocated Mother Education, paid great attention to women's role in educating future generations, and the first made coeducation in Peking University. And he was the first one to carry out co-education in Peking University. Modern women education still draws enlightenment from Cai Yuan-pei's thought on women education.
