Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine of clearing heat and transforming dampness on chronic bronchitis at acute onset.Method 57 patients with chronic bronchitis were diagnosed as phlegm-damp obstructing the lung and damp -heat brewing in the spleen at acute onset, were randomly allocated to treatment group and control group. Patients in control group (n=27) were treated only by routine therapy. Patients in treatment group (n=30) were treated by combination of Ganlu Xiaodudan decoction and routine Western Medicine. The course in both groups was 14 days. The symptoms, signs and blood analysis were carried on to compare the effects in both groups.Result The improvement of the symptoms such as cough,sputum, anorexia, abdoment distention, nausea and vomiting, and PaO_2 in treatment group were superior to those in control group (P0.05).Conclusion Combination of Ganlu Xiaodudan decoction and routine Western Medicine showed better effect on treatment of chronic bronchitis at acute onset.
