Abstract

Large flow and long span of the large-scale aqueduct in South-to-North Water Diversion Project pose higher requirements for the aqueduct design.Taking the Jihe River Aqueduct for example, the structural behavior of the aqueduct was simulated by using 3-D FEM method. In consideration of pre-stress and temperature load, the distribution of stress and deformation in different control sections of the aqueduct body was analyzed.Result indicates that the design of the aqueduct body section and the scheme of pre-stressed reinforcement are reasonable.Stress and displacement are within the allowable range and both meet the requirements of anti-crack and deflection.
