Influence of Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Nursing on the Quality of Life in Patients with Severe Craniocerebral Injury

Objective To probe into the effect of acupuncture and rehabilitation nursing on the quality of life in patients with severe craniocerebral injury.Method 56 cases of patients with severe craniocerebral injury treated in our hospital from september 2009 to June 2011 were randomly divided into research group and control group with 28 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given conventional medicine and nursing while patients in the research group were given acupuncture and rehabilitation nursing on that basis,and relevant indexes such as quality of life etc.of patients in the two groups were comparatively analyzed.Results Scores on neurologic function,psychological function,social function as well as material life of patients in the research group were significantly improved,which were remarkably higher than the control group(p0.05).In the research group,motor function of paralyzed limbs(Fugl-Meyer score) and ability of daily activities(score on barthel index) were(81.63±21.87) and(80.28±14.53) while those in the control group were(53.12±20.37) and(56.71±13.29) respectively,and differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and rehabilitation nursing intervention can significantly improve the quality of life in patients with severe craniocerebral injury and enhance their psychological and social adaptation ability.
