Gaogong's Contribution to Classics Study

Gaogong inherited the free debate among scholars in Song Dynasty, expressed doubts and criticism to the authority of the Confucian classics and Song Confucian comments, and made lots of awareness insights. He had many important play in the researchs and douts of Rites of the Zhou, the questions and criticism in the Classic of History·Hongfan and Cai comment, the criticism of the theory of Critical Comment on Disaster and Abnormal Phenomenon in Spring and Autumn Annals and the interpretation of the Confucian classics such as Great Learning, Doctrine of the Mean, Analects and Mencius. These are important literature for the posterity to study on Gaogong's thought of classics study. Gaogong's research in classics study have important value in the development of Ancient Chinese Academia.
